Have a Great Summer. If you are 17 or older Join the Team!

Many of our staff return for several summers. We also train and hire counsellors from our CIT and LIT programs once they turn 17. Our staff consists of paid employees mostly between the ages of 17 - 30 and a large group of volunteers. Student employees are hired for July and August. Counsellors need: camp experience, a belief in God the creator and an interest such as guitar, singing, crafts, the environment, archery, climbing, hiking. Specific requirements needed are NLS / Bronze Cross and WCB Level 3 First Aid. The camp has a strict no drug policy. Must have an ability to work with children. Training is part of the employment contract.

New Program

Camp Crew:
Not all people enjoy working with children. Some young people enjoy fixing, painting, cleaning up and helping in other ways. This year we will have a new Maintneance person on site. He or she will be training a small group "The Camp Crew." Be part of this great new team.

TRAINING WEEK Staff, LIT and CIT training in 2007 will be conducted between June 30 - July 5. These six days of training will focus on the specific areas of need for this summer. Self-Esteem building, astronomy, kayaking, and music and worship are areas that may take priority. At the end of training, CITs and LITs are interviewed and may be selected to volunteer for this summer. Our staff has, each year, agreed that working in a wilderness environment where you come to know each other very well is an unforgettable and wonderful experience.
